Coaching for GCSE, AS and A2 (A-Level) students
If your son or daughter is finding themselves a bit "all at sea" with their French lately, or if they simply wish to improve their grades, having my personal tuition will make all the difference. My one-to-one lessons will provide them with the individual attention that is so vital for effective language learning, something which is almost impossible to achieve in a classroom environment. As their personal tutor I can fill in those gaps in their knowledge that lead to confusion, greatly improve their understanding, and build their confidence in all aspects of the language.
Having a personal tutor also provides students with the opportunity to learn more at their own pace, and enables them to engage more actively with the subject. All my lessons are tailor-made to the individual needs and requirements of each student. They are also targeted at the specific vocabulary and grammar outlined in the Schools Curriculum, with particular focus on the relevant exam board.
I use a wide range of teaching materials, many of which I produce myself. All of these are designed specifically to:-
- Develop listening skills that promote/improve students' understanding of spoken French.
- Rapidly expand vocabulary.
- Build confidence and provide practice in speaking.
- Improve pronunciation in a few easy steps.
- Develop reading skills that promote/improve students' understanding of written French.
- Develop/improve students' own writing skills.
N.B. For GCSE and A-Level students who are unable to travel to my house for their tuition, I am happy to deliver their lessons on-line. Many of my students have received their tuition in this way over the past few years and have attained the same top grades, i.e. A and above, as students who have had their lessons in person.
